What SPONSORED means in Hey Steinbach, and what money does and doesn't buy.

SPONSORED means cash changed hands

Every paid unit in Hey Steinbach carries the word SPONSORED, in plain type, visible without a click, in the email and on the web archive. It appears only where someone paid to be there.

Paid units look different from the news: a tinted block and a rule. None appears before the lead item.

Sponsors don't buy editorial

Sponsor copy never appears in the news sections, and sponsors have no say in what runs. When a sponsor is itself news, the item ends with a line naming the business as a Hey Steinbach sponsor.

No affiliate links

Hey Steinbach uses no affiliate links, and earns nothing when you click a link in it. There are no pay-per-click, pay-per-open or pay-per-subscriber deals and no ad networks. Sponsors pay flat fees for placement, at the published rates.
